Sand filtration is one of the most basic and commonly used filtration processes. Mainly used to remove large particles from 20 to 50 microns.

Sand filter is a filter device using pressure filtration method, using high pressure to push water through the sand and gravel layer. Residues and large suspended substances in the water are retained in the openings of the sand. When the residue is full in the gap, the water pressure increases, the filter efficiency decreases, the control valve will conduct backwashing.

Backwashing process is the process of pumping water from the bottom up to disturb the sand and gravel layer, the residue will expand, the sand and gravel will be washed and the water after washing and filtering will be discharged.
